2019 Presidency: Bloody Betrayal As APC Governor Piles Up Arms, Thugs Against Buhari

Emerging reports, indicate that the ambitious Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has allegedly started storing up arms, and recruiting thugs, in the guise of granting amnesty to militants, and in a bid to actualize his 2019 Presidential ambition, Post-Nigeria gathered.

Recall, that some self-acclaimed militants in Imo State, recently surrendered their arms, and vowed never to go back to the creeks.

The disarmament ceremony which took place at the Government House, Owerri, was witnessed by the various security agencies, including the Nigerian Army, and Police.

Okorocha, accepted over 200 former militants from the oil rich communities of Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area.

However, Post-Nigeria in a close look, observed that the surrendered weapons, majorly consisted of hunter’s guns, unlike the sophisticated weapons being used by the deadly militants in the creeks.

This came as the political horse trading and permutation, continues to gather momentum, ahead of the 2019 Presidential election.

Top sources, have confirmed that Okorocha, who doubles as the Chairman of the All Progressives Governors Forum, is warming up for the 2019 Presidency, in which he plans to use the militants, who supposedly surrendered their “weapons”, as his political thugs.

  • Patience Jonathan (8%, 674 Votes)
  • Folorunsho Alakija (5%, 439 Votes)
  • Turai Yar'Adua (3%, 272 Votes)

Total Voters: 8,286

Post-Nigeria learnt from multiple sources in Owerri, the Imo State capital, that Okorocha’s passion for the 2019 Presidency, was awakened with the renewed agitation for Igbo Presidency.

The storing up of arms, came after Okorocha a few months ago, called for a President from the Igbo extraction.

Okorocha, who addressed newsmen in Owerri, said the Igbos needed to come together, and gather their resources to make a head-way in the Presidency project.

“There is the need for a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction with passion; political power must not be shared based on where a person comes from, but rather on what such personality can offer”, Okorocha had said.

In May this year, there were posters of the Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, running for the 2019 Presidency, as Okorocha’s Vice.

In desperation to achieve this, a PDP chieftain who spoke with our correspondent, said, “Okorocha, is making clandestine moves to return to PDP”.

According to other reports, Okorocha hatched the permutation, upon realizing that the APC had declared, “no vacancy in Aso Rock”, by adopting the (Buhari/Osinbajo) ticket in 2019, therefore, hindering his long sought after Presidential ambition.

With Okorocha losing out of the APC primaries to President Muhammadu Buhari, the self-acclaimed ‘Peoples Governor’, has allegedly resolved to actualize his Presidential ambition using thugs.

Recall, that the Governor, last year made a proclamation at an APC rally attended by prominent members of the party in the South-East, in Enugu State, that it was prophesied that he will be President of Nigeria.

He had said, “Three months ago, when I said I wanted to be President, they asked, can an Igbo man be President? But now when they count those contesting for President, they will first count Rochas Okorocha, before Buhari, Atiku Abubakar, and Kwankwaso.”

However, all efforts made by Post-Nigeria to contact Okorocha’s Aide, Sam Onwuemeodo, for comments, proved abortive, as he was not responding to series of calls for days.
