4 exciting sunday football matches you must watch

Football fans across the world will obviously find this weekend as one of the most interesting in the 2015/2016 season; producing fixtures that will give fans exciting moments going by antecedents and the rivalry between clubs.

Arsenal vs Man United
Mata Vs SanchezThe long standing rivalry between the Gunners and United continues on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium amidst very weird fortunes for both clubs. Arsenal is 3 points behind league leaders who have 16 points. They are expected to play without Laurent Koscielny and this makes the task of handling the new Red Devils recruit Anthony Martial a bit more difficult considering Per Mertesacker’s pace.

Fans of both clubs will be hoping that this tie will help them make a statement concerning this season’s title considering early favourites Manchester City and defending Champions Chelsea have faltered recently. Expect both keepers to be kept busy in this always interesting matchup.

Everton vs Liverpool
Coutinho Vs Romel LukakuThis will be another test for Liverpool who have been struggling from the start of the season as they visit Goodison Park. The derby game will be another test for both clubs having won 3 games each from 7. Sitting 9th on the log, Liverpool will have to prove their worth against their in-form local rivals.

Everton have not beaten Liverpool in the last nine attempts in the league with 6 draws, 3 defeats but Merseyside derbies are such horrible games to predict and I can sense a happy Reds boss Brendan Rodgers if he gets a draw from the game. Depends on whether or not Romelu Lukaku has an off day of course.

Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid

Antoine Griezmann vs Cristiano RonaldoDerby games are difficult to talk about as the outcomes are always shockers but Real Madrid have looked sharp in recent weeks under new boss Rafa Benitez. A stingy defence as well as an in-form Keylor Navas will be looking to make things hard for Diego Simeone’s hard battling side.

With Messi missing out through injury we can expect Cristiano Ronaldo to try and add more goals to his already astonishing haul of 501.

Antoinne Griezmann and Co will make it more difficult than even expected, considering the recent pattern of games between these two clubs from the capital. I still think home advantage could give a balance between both teams (and Fernando Torres could be primed to deliver some more derby goals.)

Bayern vs Dortmund
robert-lewandowski vs pierre-emerick-aubameyangA supposed big game in the Bundesliga league is expected to bring a strong challenge between league leaders, Bayern and recent their rivals Borussia Dortmund. German fans will welcome the excitement in a classic match, known in Germany as “Der Klassiker” with both clubs looking in good form.

Pep Guardiola’s confidence could lie in the free scoring form of Robert Lewandowski who just can’t stop mauling goalposts all over the place. Thomas Tuchel’s Dortmund is not the same as Klopp’s in terms of intensity but they are just as deadly as they are yet to lose this season.

The team in black and yellow have a menacing striker of their own in Pierre-emerick Aubameyang as he will definitely keep the Bavarian backline well occupied with his pacy runs from deep.
