APC Crisis Deepens As Party Chieftain Releases Indicting Statement

The call for the resignation of the All Progressive Congress, APC, National Chairman, John Oyegun, is gathering more momentum, as the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, Chief Timi Frank, has threatened to split the party apart, if Oyegun refuses to tender his resignation.

‎According to Frank, the party may not survive beyond 2019, unless urgent steps are taken to rebuild public confidence in the party.‎

It could be recalled, that the party’s National Leader, Bola Tinubu, had called for Oyegun’s resignation, over his role in the emergence of Rotimi Akeredolu, as the party’s candidate in the November 26 Governorship election, in Ondo State.‎‎

In reaction, ‎Oyegun had noted that he would not tender his resignation letter, because of mere threat emanating from Newspaper reports.‎
