APC lists 10 Buhari Ministers guilty of False declaration of asset‎s

The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has on Saturday, May 29, said that some of President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministers are guilty of false assets declaration.

The APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Timi Frank, stated this in an exclusive interview with Punch Newspaper.

Recall, that Frank has been a strong supporter of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, who is currently going through trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT.

“If we want to go by the books, many people including not fewer than 10 ministers under the present administration, or let me say many ministers that are carrying our card, I bet you, they will face the same thing Saraki is facing today.”

He explained that many ministers who are behaving like saints are guilty when it comes to asset declaration.

Although, some Nigerians are speculating that the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi and the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, may not come out clean if their assets are scrutinised by the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB.

Speaking further, Frank said: “Why is it just Bukola Saraki that is facing this? Why? Is it because he wasn’t the choice of the party to run for the position of Senate President? Is that why we are treating him like this? Where were you when our National Chairman said one of the reasons why they are not going to allow me speak for the party is, because they felt I was going to protect the interest of some of our party leaders”.

He emphasized that Saraki and former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, are his political mentors hence, he owes them loyalty.

“Saraki is somebody I supported and I will continue to support him. I will not relent in my support despite the challenges, intimidation, harassment, and complaints. I am not just supporting him.

“I am somebody who has been campaigning against impunity and corruption. I am a member of the anti-corruption network in this country. Where there is corruption, I will speak out against it.

“If what is being done is not politically motivated, it should spread to all others who have the same issue, if that is the ‎case”.
