Reports on Sunday night, from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, revealed that a powerful explosion from the ragtag Boko Haram insurgents, was heard around Muna garage, leaving many wounded.

Kabiru Shettima, a resident, who spoke via on phone, said those who survived the blast were being taken to the hospital in tricycles, popularly called Keke Napep.

“I don’t know the number of casualties, but I saw people being carried inside Keke Napep. I believe they are the wounded”, he said.

Asked if he noticed any corpse, the witness said he only saw wounded persons, as he was not at the exact location the bomb exploded.
