BREAKING: EXCLUSIVE!!! APC Finally Dumps Bukola Saraki, Picks A Popular South-East Governor As Senate President For 2019

A credible source on Thursday morning, confided in Post-Nigeria’s Correspondent, stating that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, are strategising on how they can win the majority seats in the National Assembly come 2019, in order to retain the Senate Presidency seat.

As a result, the ruling party has concluded plans to ensure that Senate President, Bukola Saraki, who the party said got to the position through the back door, does not return to the Red Chamber in 2019 as Senate President.

The source authoritatively told our Correspondent that the Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, has been handpicked to replace Saraki as Senate President in 2019, in order to keep the Governor relevant, in preparation for the Igbo Presidency in 2023.

“Rochas Okorocha will be contesting for the Senate in 2019, because he will soon be completing his second tenure. In order to be politically relevant untill the 2023 Igbo Presidency, he has been picked to replace Saraki as the Senate President in 2019.”

When asked if it is possible for a first timer in the Senate to become the Senate President contrary to the house rules,  the source said: “Why are you politically naive? Have you forgotten that Godswill Akpabio as a first timer in the Senate became the Senate Minority Leader in 2015, which was against the Senate tradition? The PDP bent the rule to accommodate Akpabio to clinch the position. So in politics, one plus one is not always two. the rules can be changed.

He added: “Saraki cannot come to the Red Chamber in 2019 and retain that seat. Okorocha is the man for the job.”

Post-Nigeria further gathered that it will not be an easy ride for Okorocha to defeat Senator Hope Uzodinma in 2019.

Okorocha and Uzodinma are from the same Senatorial Constituency of Imo State.

Presently, Senator Uzodinma is the Chairman Senate Committee on Customs, and the Chairman Southern Senators Forum of the 8th Assembly.
