Many Dead As Boko Haram Leader, Shekau, Stages Deadly Come Back

Emerging report has revealed that at least 15 Boko Haram fighters, were killed in Borno, on Friday, December 30, after a fierce battle with the Nigerian military.

The attack came barely 24 hours, when the Boko Haram Leader, Abubakar Shekau, vowed in a video that he would continue to launch attacks against Nigeria, despite the military takeover of Sambisa forest.

Sources said the battle began, when fighters of the terror group launched a surprise attack on troops location, in Rann, Northern Borno, shooting sporadically.

The soldiers responded promptly, killing an unknown number of the terrorists, and wounding several others.

The battle raged for over two hours, and when the dust settled, several terrorists were found dead.

Sources added, that more than 15 of the Boko Haram fighters, were killed in action.

Sources however, said four Nigerian soldiers were wounded in the action, adding that, authorities had since contacted the nearby 22 Brigade, to send air ambulance, to evacuate a critically injured soldier.
