Buhari and APC continue to show desperation – PDP

Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the APC, has been accused by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, of a plot to smuggle a new certificate into the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

While briefing newsmen Femi Fani-Kayode the Director of Media and Publicity of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organization, urged INEC to resist anything that would undermine its integrity.

Femi Fani-Kayode alleged that Buhari has neither submitted nor attached his personal documents to the form CFOO1 he filled as of December 18, 2014, which was the stipulated deadline for submission of form at INEC.

“Yesterday, General Muhammadu Buhari made a shocking and belated disclosure that INEC has his documents. He has not been specific about the documents he is referring to but it is very clear that this is yet another squalid attempt to give the Nigerian people the impression that INEC has his certificate,” he said.

This is not the first controversial episode that has been linked to the former dictator as further allegations of impropriety have been brought against him this time by multimedia giant Daar Communications.

Daar Communications, owners of African Independent Television, AIT released a statement earlier, that the APC fraudulently invaded the database of its online Presidential Poll, which led to a shutdown of the website.

According to the statement signed by the Management of Daar Communication, a test showed that 30 identified unique IP addresses had voted 4,969 in favor of General Buhari, and this did not add up when compared to the number of voters polled.

The allegations present a cumbersomely desperate APC with each passing day as more fraudulent activities are being linked to the Bola Tinubu led group.

November last year, the Department of State Security, DSS fingered the APC in a sinister plot to clone PVCs after recovering a computer hard drive containing videos of hacking tutorials from the premises of the APC office in Ikeja, Lagos State, after being tipped off.

The DSS also revealed that the APC registered under-aged persons including several infants and babies, foreigners, security personnel as members of the party.
