Buhari’s SSA smuggled “Fake budget” into National Assembly – Senate

The leadership of the Senate have indicted the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari, on National Assembly Matters, Senator Ita Enang, over the missing 2016 Budget.

Addressing journalists after Thursday’s plenary, spokesperson of the Senate, Senator Aliyu Sabi, accused the presidency of forgery, and subtly stated that Enang smuggled a new budget different from the one presented by Buhari.

“Senate will reprint and circulate only original budget copies to Senators, because Enang submitted a different budget to the senate.”

“The senate was misled by Enang and we are in touch with the President”

He reassured Nigerians that the original copy of the budget was not missing as the senate is set to begin its deliberation on January 19th, 2016.

Senator Sabi stated that the senate would not recommend sanctions to President Muhammadu Buhari for Enang to be disciplined.

However, Enang reacting to the allegation levied against him, stated that he is not ready to join issues with the senators.

Also reacting to the controversy, Senate president Bukola Saraki, through his twitter handle exonerated the senate from any wrong doings and blamed the presidency for misleading Nigerians.
