Christians and Muslims should join hands and work for the progress of Nigeria – Council for Islamic Affairs

The Anambra State Chapter of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, NSCIA, has called on Nigerians from the two major religions in the country, to come together and work for the progress, unity and peace of Nigeria.

The Vice President of the Anambra State chapter, Alhaji Dauda told this to journalists on Thursday in Onitsha.

While condemning the bombing of the Kano Central Mosque and killing of several innocent Nigerians by insurgents, the council urged that drastic actions be taken against the sect to bring them to an end.

Dauda said: ‘the perpetrators of the dastardly act are not only trying to drag the name of the country in the mud, they also want to scuttle the 2015 general elections.
