End Of The Road!!! Senate President, Bukola Saraki’s Political Career To End In 2019 – Angry Nigerian King Makers Declare

The Coordinator, Kwara Rescue Alliance, Abdulsalam Ibrahim, on Friday, stated that 70 political youth groups in Kwara State, have formed an alliance to unseat the Senate President and Political Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the State, Dr. Bukola Saraki, due to alleged bad governance and misrule, Punch reports.

He added that the residents of the State had yet to enjoy dividends of democracy as they should under the Saraki dynasty, adding that, there was a need to liberate the people from misrule. He said the group was also poised to unseat Saraki’s loyalists and cronies in the governance of the State.

In an interview in Ilorin, the State capital, on Friday, Ibrahim also accused the Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed-led government of ineptitude and lack of commitment to the welfare of the residents of the State.

He stressed that the alliance was to reposition the opposition and make it more vibrant, so that there would be a change of government in 2019.

He said: “70 youth political groups formed an alliance to unseat Saraki, because the State has lost direction completely, and we have no hope in the possibility of a change, especially by the ruling government. We feel that even the opposition that is currently in the State needs some guidance.

“The ruling government is totally out of the question, and the opposition is not getting it right as well. So we want to bring the opposition together, and we will ensure that the opposition goes into the elections as a joint force and with a credible alternative. We are sure we are going to win the elections.”

Meanwhile, the Media Aide to Saraki, Yusuph Olaniyonu, said he would not comment on the allegations.

Also, efforts to get the response of the State Publicity Secretary of the APC, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, proved abortive, as he did not answer his calls.

Nonetheless, the Spokesperson for the Governor, Dr. Muyideen Akorede, said Ogbole’s assessment of development in the State was incorrect, stating that in view of the money the State had received in the past 15 years, it had fared well in terms of development.

“I do not understand the basis for the assessment, because Kwara has witnessed significant development in the last 15 years”, he added.
