ICPC promises to stop corruption in Nigeria, aviation sector to be first

The Chairman, Independent Corrupt Practices and Other related Offences Commission, ICPC, Mr. Ekpo Nta, has said that the commission is set to publicly deal with issues pertaining to corruption, especially in the aviation sector.

He said as the world is celebrates the United Nations (UN) Anti-Corruption Day, the ICPC has taken an appraisal of several sectors, and the aviation sectors takes the priority.

He said this in an interview on Channels television Sunrise Daily.

Mr. Nta explained that the commission’s reason for picking the aviation sector was because airports are the first entry points into the country.

He went on to say that airports have been turned into places where officials are easily bribed to prevent them from carrying out their legitimate duties.
