Security Agents Run For Safety As Over 400 Armed Fulani Gunmen Strike Again In Northern Nigeria, Leaving Many Dead

Two days after suicide bombers killed 27 people in a Mosque and Market, in Adamawa State, herdsmen have struck in the State, killing 15 villagers.

The latest killing took place in the Southern part of the State, where the victims were killed in four villages.

Sources said that the armed herdsmen numbering over 400, attacked and burnt down four villages of Bolki, Bang, Zumoso, and Gon, in Numan and Lamurde Local Government Areas.

The sources further revealed that the militia herdsmen arrived in the communities on motorcycles and Hilux trucks.

One of the villagers said that the herdsmen could not be stopped, as they drove menacingly by the Military personnel who were in only two Hilux trucks.

According to him, the Security Agents retreated and ran for safety, when they sighted the herdsmen who came in several trucks.

Other residents said that the herdsmen pursued some of the villagers who were fleeing through the river and killed them.

They said that over 15 bodies of the victims had been recovered.

When contacted on the incident, the Police authorities said that the Command was yet to receive any report of the attack.
