Senate President Bukola Saraki’s Whereabouts Remain Unknown, As Soldiers, Policemen, Take Over APC Secretariat, Senate Suspends Plenary

A strong team of Armed Police and Military Personnel, have taken over security at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abuja.

This development is in preparation for the National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting of the party.

Truckload of Soldiers and Policemen built a security parameter at the main entrance and exit of the street leading to the Secretariat.

24 APC Governors, President Muhammadu Buhari, and Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, are expected to attend the meeting today.

As at the time of filing in this report, the whereabouts of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, remained unknown, as he was not at the Senate Chamber, nor at the APC Caucus meeting.

The Senate also adjourned Tuesday’s plenary, to allow members of the APC Caucus attend the National Executive Council meeting of the ruling party.

Majority Leader, Senator Ahmad Lawan, moved that the plenary be adjourned, which was unanimously granted.
