WAR OF POWER!!! APC Set To Disgrace Governor Fayose, Announces Its Preferred Governorship Candidate, Ahead Of The Ekiti Guber Poll

Emerging report revealed that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, is fighting hard to disgrace the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, and his Allies, in the forthcoming Gubernatorial Election.

Recall, that Fayose had earlier boasted that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the State, will defeat the APC, in the forthcoming Gubernatorial election.

As a result, the APC has announced that the party’s preferred candidate in the forthcoming election, would be the candidate with the highest number of votes during the primary.

The party said that the 33 aspirants must be ready to face each other in a free and fair contest.

Speaking, while inaugurating the two Committees – Ekiti Governorship primary and the Appeal Committees, the National Organising Secretary, Senator Osita Izunaso, said that only the aspirant with the highest number of votes in the primary election, will be declared winner of the contest.

He urged the Panel to ensure that the primary election is conducted in a free and fair atmosphere.

Izunaso stated that voting at the election will be by secret ballot, adding that, only the aspirant with the highest number of votes will be declared winner.

According to Izunaso, the aspirants have been provided with the delegates’ list, and as at Wednesday, no complaint has been received from anyone.

He revealed that being an aspirant does not make anyone a delegate, except where the period is a statutory delegate.

The National Organising Secretary, further revealed that the party does not have any preferred candidate, and that all aspirants are equal and should be treated as such.
