Kingship Tussle: Traditional Rulers split domain to end crisis

As a result of the series of attacks by hoodlums who kill, rob, maim and unleashed mayhem on the people at Aiyetoro community in Ajegunle area of Lagos State will soon be a thing of the past if the two traditional rulers in the area carry out their agreed plans.

Leadership reports that, investigation exposed that some Landlords, residents and passersby were robbed of their cash, Mobile Phones and Valuables, about 15 vehicles were said to have been damaged within same period.

The two warring traditional rulers of Aiyetoro, Bale Saheed Fakunle, and Bale Shehu Olola, had come into consensus to put down their swords yesterday after about a decade old chieftaincy tussle, which was withdrawn recently from the law court.

The duo traditional rulers had at yesterday divided the Aiyetoro domain into two, in the presence of other traditional rulers in Ajeromi/Ifelodun Local government area, which signifies that each of them will rule one part of the divide.

One of the Traditional rulers, Fakunle, who became Bale of Aiyetoro 1, assured his subjects that he would set up an emergency meeting soon with his counterpart in order to work out modalities on the way forward to live peacefully and in harmony devoid of violent attacks on their subjects.
