Kwara PDP gubernatorial aspirants and Saraki, synergize to defeat APC at polls

Ahead of the 2015 general election, ten gubernatorial aspirants who lost out in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP primaries in Kwara State last Friday have pledged their utmost support to work for the success of the winner at the general poll, next year February 2015.

National Mirror reports that, the Secretary of the Aspirants Forum, Arch Kale Belgore, while speaking, said they have decided to use their joint resources, power and connection to make Senator Simeon Ajibola, who emerged the candidate, win in the general election.

Arch Belgore, while reacting to talk of jubilation coming from the All Progressives Congress, APC, said he was optimistic that Ajibola, PDP sole candidate for Kwara State would have a walk over at the poll.

In addition, Belgore said: “APC, out of ignorance appears not to know that Ajibola as the candidate is now the responsibility of PDP to win the election and not him as individual.

According to him, “All the eleven of us have been meeting and strategizing with Abuja to win Kwara State for PDP. Let no one be deceived with any fairy tale. The people have spoken and the voice of the people is the voice of God.

“God is on the side of the oppressed. That is our situation in Kwara State. God is set to deliver us now and with Him, we shall join forces to free the people from slavery and we shall win. We will all be on ground to make Ajibola win.” Belgore quipped.

Another aspirant and respondent who spoke to National Mirror on phone, Deacon John Dara, said unlike the past situations, all the aspirants are sharing the victory of Ajibola and we will collectively go for his victory at the poll.

Sister of the former governor of Kwara State, Dr Bukola Saraki, Gbemisola Saraki in a statement, said she was ready to join forces with the PDP to defeat APC in the next election.
