Mimiko advocates for Peace at Christmas

The Governor of Ondo State Olusegun Mimiko has urged Nigerians to strive for peace in the country despite the security and economic challenges.

Mimiko’s Chief Secretary Eni Akinsola, signed the Christmas message and made it public on Wednesday, stressing on peace and its significance to Christ’s birth which is to reconcile mankind to God, and as reconciliation is a principal condition for peace, Nigerians ought to coexist amicably at all times.

According to Mimiko, irrespective of the hiccups in security, Nigeria is gradually and surly advancing to greatness, adding that Nigeria will advance faster when Nigerians work together amicably.

“We are moving forward as a country in spite of our challenges, yet our movements could be faster and our pace steadier if we champion the cause of peace and reconciliation as exemplified by the birth of Christ now being globally celebrated in Christmas day”

Mimiko encouraged Nigerians to work together to achieve the common goal of peace irrespective of believes, ethnicity, culture or faith. Adding that the celebration should be an avenue to retrace oneself and how better to contribute to the country positively.

He concluded by sending heartwarming compliments of the season to all citizens and in advance wished everyone a prosperous new year.
