Nigeria has never had a prepared leader like Buhari – APC

The Publicity Secretary of the All progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos State, Joe Igbokwe has slammed critics of President Muhammadu Buhari, insisting that Nigeria has never had a leader as prepared for the job as Buhari

Igbokwe stressed that Buhari is perfectly prepared and wired with the necessary apparatus of governance in the history of the nation.

He made this declaration during a debate session with his counterpart from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Taofik Gani on Channels TV’s “Face off” where he argued that Buhari remains Nigeria’s only savior from its economic and political challenges, adding that it would take time for him to completely clean the rot left behind after the 16 years reign of the PDP.

“The PDP has nothing to offer, all they do is spread false information. Did the former President handover anything except a looted economy and damaged economy?

Before the coming of the APC, we did not know what was coming from the NNPC, we didn’t know who was lifting what, apparently the man called Jonathan didn’t know what was going on, and he was just there.

“So these are the things Buhari is trying to solve, like I said, time will tell. The man Buhari is the most prepared for this job, he is the savior of

Buhari is already facing tough criticism from Nigerians over the delay in the appointment of ministers and inability to marshal policy direction to ameliorate the challenges confronting the nation, despite contesting for the prestigious position four times.

Nigerians have also expressed their displeasure at the antecedents of the President, by changing Buhari’s campaign name from “Sai Baba” to “Baba Go Slow”, an indication of growing displeasure over his sluggish and slow paced delivery of his campaign promises.

Igbokwe in reaction to these claims, insisted that nobody can push the President beyond his pace, stating that even with the slow pace, Buhari has been able to surpass the PDP’s achievements in the last 16 years.

“In the last 16 years, the PDP did not take us anywhere, we need to plan very well especially when we know we are coming in with a corrective government, it would take time to clean the rot they left behind”

“They want to push us with policy direction and talking about tangible achievements, if anybody is saying that we don’t have a policy direction, then don’t know what they are saying. What Jonathan was not able to achieve in 6 years we were able to do in 30 days”
