How Nigerian Straight, Gay, Transgender, Cross-Dresser Men Stormed Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2016

Something is happening in the Nigerian fashion industry, and people are oblivious of it.

We are talking of none other, than the just concluded Heineken Lagos Fashion and Design Week, LFDW2016. That is why we are here to fill you in.

The LFDW2016, brought us some of the hottest and the naughtiest street trends ever. Say goodbye to the age-old ways of rocking trends, and say hello to metrosexual, heterosexual, and homosexual men, setting the pace in the fashion world, while their female counterparts follow.

This year’s street style meant statement coats, gay men wearing sheer apparels, and showing a lot of skin, as well as unexpected colour pairings, bold and eccentric prints, not forgetting Ankara designs.

The 3-day Fashion Week, kicked off with an array of fashion choices, from the beginning to the end, as stylishly dressed men took center stage, straight out of the streets, looking dapper in septums and tattoos, than the ladies. A prove that men are becoming more daring, and have taken over, period!

From the most dapper, to casual, to sheer outfits, to bum shorts, to baby pink, to robes, the guys of the LFDW2016, probably brought the most interesting street styles yet. Some trends impressed, while others failed to hit the radar.
