Obanikoro condemns stoning of Buhari in Lagos

Newly nominated Minister, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, has public denounced the stoning of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Presidential Candidate – General Muhammadu Buhari by certain members of the public on Friday in Lagos state.

The retired general was in Lagos State for the APC presidential rally when we was booed and stoned by an apparently enraged multitude around Idumagbo, Isale-Eko area of Lagos State.

Senator Obanikoro took to social media to call on Lagosians to eschew violence and castigated such an act of violence.

“The stoning of APC Presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari today in Lagos is utterly condemnable. The 2015 presidential polls must be about issues and sportsmanship moderated with every sense of decency and civility,” he said.

He also pleaded with Lagosians to accord the aging former Dictator due respect throughout the duration of his stay in Lagos State, as the State is known to be a melting pot for all which does not discriminate.
