Pandemonium In NNPC Headquarters As Buhari Set To Handover To New Petroleum Minister

President Muhammadu Buhari, has on Monday, November 7, tactically confirmed Post-Nigeria’s exclusive report, that the outgoing Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, would emerge as the substantive Minister of Petroleum.

While confirming the report, Buhari said it would result to wasting Oshiomhole’s energy, if he was allowed to retire, immediately after his tenure as a State Governor.

According to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the President confirmed the report, while he spoke at the Palace of the new Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, shortly before he embarked on the inauguration of projects in the State.

Post-Nigeria, had earlier quoted a source, who spilled the bean over plans by the President, to handover the Petroleum Ministry to Oshiomhole.

“Oshiomhole has done a good job as the Governor of Edo State.

“He has the trust of the President. Remember how he unofficially acted as the Spokesman of the President, before the appointment of Ministers.

“He was the one who kept on exposing the rot in the NNPC, Ngozi-Iweala’s corruption breaking scandal, and many more. He is a man of passion and zeal.

“As I speak, the Presidency is contemplating compensating him with the position of Petroleum Minister, for the purpose of reforms”, the source had told Post-Nigeria.
