PDP Will Rule For 60 yrs: Ogbulafor will be welcomed in APC

A former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, on Friday paid what some called a surprise visit to the All Progressives Congress, APC, national secretarial in Abuja.

The meeting which was with the APC National Chairman, Chief John Oyegun, started around 2,35pm and lasted for about 40 minutes.

Ogbulafor who is famous for asserting that the PDP would “remain in power for 60 years” told journalists that he was only present to congratulate the APC Chairman and put to rest speculation he was decamping.

“I just came back into town yesterday and I came to congratulate the national chairman of APC for a job well done,” he said.

When asked if his visit may raise suspicion within the PDP, the former chairman said he was still in PDP and nobody should be offended by his visit to the APC secretariat.

“I have been National Chairman, National Secretary and Minister. I will remain in PDP until it becomes necessary to make a change,” he said, adding however that he was happy with Buhari’s victory in the presidential election.

The former PDP National Chairman maintained that his association with the APC was the fact that he is a Nigerian and has the right to associate with other Nigerians as guaranteed under the law.
