Police defuse bomb at Kano International grains market

On Thursday, in Kano the Nigerian Police force reportedly defuse a bomb that was concealed in a bag and set to detonate at the Dawanau international foodstuff market.

The bomb which was of a high caliber, was discovered and successfully defused by a personnel from the state command anti-bomb squad.

Following the recent suicide bombing by two as yet unidentified female suicide bombers at the Kantin Kwari international textile market on Wednesday that claimed four lives, the State Commissioner, Mr. Aderenle Shinaba has urged residents to cooperate with security personnel to expose insurgency and criminals in their communities.

He also debunked the rumors that a female suicide bomber who went to a clinic had been arrested.
