Public Holiday: January 2, 2015 Eid el Maloud – FG

The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Friday, January 2, 2015 as a public holiday to mark Eid el Maloud.

In a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Makaji Abdulahi Abba, Muslims faithful and all Nigerians are urged to pray for the peace and unity of country.

Abba called for peaceful and violent free activities in the 2015 general elections.

He also urged Nigerians to support’s GEJ’s transformation agenda to move Nigeria to the next level of development.

He wished all Nigerians a peaceful New Year and Eid el Maloud celebrations.

The Federal Government had earlier declared January 1, 2015 as public holiday to mark the New Year.
