Top International celebrities react to Baga attack

Insurgent attacks on the Baga community in Borno State have drawn the attention of top international celebrities who have both commiserated with the individuals involved and condemned the attack.

Madonna Louise Ciccone, an American singer has joined the many celebs speaking out for Nigeria. She shared on her instagram this morning her feelings for the Baga attack, also condemning the world leaders for ignoring Nigeria.

“The people of Nigeria matter too! I am not just Charlie #iamnigeria #rebelheart.”

UN Ambassador, Angelina Jolie yesterday also said in a statement “Each new crime committed by Boko Haram exceeds the last in brutality. This is a direct consequence of the environment of total impunity in which such insurgents operates.

“Every time they get away with mass murder, rape and the enslavement of women and children, they are emboldened,” the movie icon said.

Maybach Music rapper, Meek Mill just recently took to his twitter page to react to the same incident as he blamed international media for not paying as much attention to the terrible killings in Nigeria as they are showing to France.

He tweeted:

He further complained about the media being less concerned about the sad event

Lecrae and Nigerian born rapper Wale have also added their voices to the campaign to help the plight of the Nigerian community.
