Governors elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Thursday night, met with the Leadership of the party, alongside the immediate past Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and House of Representatives Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, in Abuja.

It was learnt that meeting dwelt on the tussle for the leadership of the National Assembly, the re-positioning of the party for the next four years, and the petition by the party’s Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, at the Election Petition Tribunal.

The meeting however, came less than two weeks after the previous one which saw the Bayelsa State Governor, Henry Dickson, take over as the Chairman of the body. This followed the exit of the former Gombe State Governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo.
