Were you asleep when APC chieftains threatened Nigerians? – Tompolo, Asari-Dokubo to Danjuma

Former militant and former commander of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, Chief Government Ekpemupolo, a.k.a. Tompolo, on Thursday replied former Minister of Defence, Gen. T.Y. Danjuma, for calling for his arrest over inflammatory statements at a time Nigeria needs peace.

Gen. T.Y. Danjuma had on Wednesday in Kano called for the immediate arrest of Tompolo, leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, NDPVF, Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, Victor Ben Ebikabowei, aka, Boy Loaf, and other militants for threatening violence if President Jonathan lost.

Tompolo, in his reply, questioned the former Minister as to his whereabouts when Mallam Ciroma Adamu, the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Gen Muhammadu Buhari, and the Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, made inciting statements including plans to make Nigeria ungovernable and threatening to form a parallel government.

The ex-MEND leader asked why there was no mention of why President Jonathan’s convoy was stoned in Katsina and Bauchi States while Gen. Buhari had a peaceful outing when he campaigned in the Niger-Delta states.

Tompolo, in an unapologetic manner, reaffirmed that Jonathan would have to win next month’s elections for the country to remain whole.

Meanwhile, the wife of Asari-Dokubo has also replied the retired General on Facebook in a tone akin to that of Tompolo.

She asked why Danjuma didn’t call for the arrest of Lai Mohammed when he took to insulting President Goodluck Jonathan.

She also wondered why Danjuma didn’t call on the Department of State Services, DSS, to arrest Amaechi when they said they would form a parallel government come May 29th if they lose.

“Did the General ask the DSS to arrest those who attacked the president campaign convoy in Katsina, Bauchi and burnt the PDP presidential campaign buses in other northern states? I can go on and on the list is endless,” she said in a Facebook post.
